This tool digitizes handwritten and printed recipe cards right in your browser. Take a clear photo of an old family recipe (the kind written on an index card in a grandparent's handwriting) and it reads the text and lays it out as a clean, typed recipe with a name, an ingredients list, and a method you can edit, print, or download. Nothing is uploaded to a server; the reading happens on your own device, so your family's recipes stay private.
Why bother? Because handwritten recipes are fragile. The card fades, the handwriting becomes hard to read, and eventually the only copy of a dish someone made for decades is gone. Typing it up (and keeping the story alongside it) is how a recipe survives long enough to be passed down.
