Acceptable Use Policy

Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who uses Family Crumbs, including:
- Gifters — the person who starts a collecting plan, invites contributors, and orders the book; and
- Contributors — adult relatives and friends (18 or older) who submit recipes, stories, and photos. By submitting content, contributors agree to this policy and the content license below, even though no account is required to contribute.
Your responsibility for what you submit
You represent that you own, or have permission to share, everything you submit — including recipes, written stories, and photographs (such as a photo of a handwritten recipe card or a family photo). Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
Content license
To compile and print your book, we need permission to use what you submit. By submitting content, you grant Family Crumbs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, compile, format, print, and ship that content as part of the book(s) for which it was submitted, and to provide the service. This license exists so we can produce your book; we do not sell your family's recipes or stories or use them to promote Family Crumbs without your separate permission. It ends when your content is deleted, except to the extent we must retain copies to fulfill an order already in production or as required by law.
The gifter who orders a book represents that they have the right to compile the submitted content into a printed book for personal, family use.
Prohibited content
Do not submit content that:
- Is illegal, or facilitates illegal activity;
- Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights — including copying substantial text, photographs, or other expression from a published cookbook, website, or author without permission (note: a basic list of ingredients generally isn't protected, but the written story, descriptions, and photos are);
- Is defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, or invasive of another person's privacy;
- Is obscene or sexually explicit;
- Contains another person's private or sensitive information without their consent;
- Contains malware or harmful code.
Content featuring children
Family recipes, stories, and photos often feature children, even though only adults may use the service and contribute. Do not submit a child's photo or personal information without the consent of that child's parent or legal guardian.
Prohibited conduct
Do not: attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours; probe, scan, or breach security; scrape or harvest content or data; overload or disrupt the service; impersonate others; or use the service to send spam.
Our rights
We may, at our discretion and consistent with our other policies:
- Decline to print, remove, or refuse any content that violates this policy;
- Suspend or terminate access for violations;
- Decline to produce a book containing prohibited content. Where we decline before production for a policy reason, your refund rights under our Refund & Cancellation Policy still apply.
We are not obligated to monitor content, but we may review it.

Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
